Swedish Massage
A Swedish massage is a classic therapeutic massage treatment that’s designed to relax the whole body by working the soft tissues and muscles through a variety of techniques. Using my hands, I will use five main techniques: stroking and gliding, kneading, rubbing, tapping or pounding and vibration, all of which are designed to improve circulation, soothe muscles and make you feel more relaxed.
What to expect: After an initial consultation, I will choose an oil to use during your massage and will massage these into your body, paying special attention to any areas you’ve highlighted; overall your massage should be a calming experience, and promote feelings of contentment and relaxation. I will use a variety of techniques such as stroking and gliding, kneading, rubbing, tapping or pounding and vibration, with the aim to relax the entire body by relieving tension held within the muscles.

Deep Tissue Massage
Similar to a Swedish massage, deep tissue massage uses a slower stroke, with firmer pressure and is particularly good as a therapeutic treatment for those with muscle tension or pain. Using my hands and forearms, I will use a variety of massage techniques including applying deep finger pressure to specific areas to release tension.
What to expect: I will discuss with you what you hope to achieve, what to expect, and if there are any specific areas of concern for you. Using specific oils for your needs, I will massage these into your body to gently warm your muscles before using my thumbs, knuckles, forearms or elbows to apply pressure along the fibres of your muscles. Pressure is applied across the grain of your muscles with the aim to release tension and realign tissue fibres. It’s important to know that it’s common to feel a degree of discomfort during your treatment but it should not cause you pain.

Hot Stone Massage
Using hot stones to warm muscles, this relaxing massage technique may help to relieve tension and stress in mind and body.
What to expect: After an initial consultation, I will perform the massage with a holistic approach, but also paying special attention to any areas you have highlighted.

Indian Head Massage
Routed in Ayurveda, this focuses on the face, head, neck and shoulders.
What to expect: This treatment will take place while you are lying down on the massage couch and will also include the back, neck and shoulders. After an initial consultation, I will massage your upper body, focusing on the shoulders and above.

All treatments start with a consultation, which wil not be included in your treatment time.
